Our Youth Drug Awareness Program is designed to equip Liberia’s students and youth with the knowledge, wisdom, and confidence to make healthy, life-giving choices and reject the destructive path of drug abuse.
Breaking the Cycle Before It Begins
Across Liberia, many children and teenagers are introduced to drugs at an alarming age.
Too often, that first exposure comes through friends, neighborhood influences, or even within their schools.
What begins as curiosity or peer pressure can quickly become addiction, leading to broken families, lost opportunities, crime, imprisonment, and hopelessness.
We believe this cycle can be broken.
By educating young people before addiction takes hold, we can help protect the next generation from the devastating consequences of substance abuse.
Education That Saves Lives
The goal of our Youth Drug Awareness Program is to provide students with practical, life-changing education that helps them recognize the dangers of drug use before it becomes a lifelong struggle.
Through interactive presentations and community outreach, students learn:
- The physical, emotional, and spiritual dangers of drug abuse.
- How addiction develops and why it is so difficult to escape.
- How to identify common illicit drugs and their harmful effects.
- How peer pressure influences decision-making.
- Practical tools and confidence to say “No” when offered drugs.
- How healthy choices today shape a stronger future tomorrow.
Most importantly, we encourage young people to discover their God-given identity, purpose, and value so they will not seek fulfillment through destructive behaviors.
